international "Fur and its processing - 2003" exhibition opened to
visitors today in the "Forum" hall of the exhibition complex on
Krasnaya Presnya. The exhibition has been organized by the
"East-West-Partner GmbH" company (Germany).
ambassador to Russia, Mr H.-F.von Pletz, the chairman of the Russian
fur-union V.G. Chipurnoy, the managing director of "Intermeh" CJSC,
A.L. Zhemchuzhin, and the chief executive of the "East-West-Partner
GmbH", Erih Fichtner, all took part in the opening ceremony.
than 100 companies, 28 of which are Russian, are exhibiting raw
materials and manufactured fur goods as well as leather, suede,
textiles, fur-manufacturing equipment, accessories and related
middle-men, and commercial agents from Australia, Argentine,
Byelorussia, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Spain,
Italy, Canada, China, Norway, Hong Kong, USA, Turkey, Ukraine, Croatia,
Finland and Switzerland are taking part in the exhibition. The Russian
fur-industry is represented by such companies as "Soyuzpushnina",
"Kalinka", "Otrada", "Russian furs", "Intermeh", "Pallada" and others.
A gala-show, traditionally organized by the Russian fur-union, is to take place during the time of the exhibition.
